First Things In My Life! ~2~

Continued from last week's blog.

The next moment, I laid down on the ice rink and I could see that a lot of people including Azusa were around me. I felt strong dizzy. I couldn’t understand what was happened. Someone said “Can you stand up and sit down the wheelchair?” to me but I couldn’t. Two men who were staffs of the skate rink supported on both sides under my arms. They made me sit down the wheelchair and pushed it to the ground. They asked me questions, “What’s your name?” “How old are you?” I still strong dizzy but somehow, my head was clear so I replied their questions. I didn’t know why they ask me such questions at the time, but I can understand now that they wanted to know whether I recovered consciousness clearly or not.

I was carried to a small house that was near by the skate rink sitting on the wheelchair. The room was like nurse’s office. There were only a small bed, a small desk, and a small chair. They made me sit on the chair. I felt like I was going to throw up. One woman asked me some questions about my address, ID etc. Then a man came into the room. He was a really kind man. At the time I didn’t notice, but he was a stuff of an ambulance. He and some other people made me lay down on the stretcher. It was the first time that I lay on the stretcher in my life! I couldn’t imagine how I would feel if I laid down on a stretcher before. But it wasn’t comfortable. There were many ropes and it fastened me so tightly. And they put something that held not to move my neck and my head tightly around my neck. It was really uncomfortable.

Then I and Azusa rode on the ambulance. It was the first time that I rode on an ambulance in my life! But I didn’t remember well because I couldn’t move my neck and head and looked over the inside of the ambulance. I could see only light just above me. It might take only short time to arrive hospital, but I felt it took so long time. I felt strong dizzy during I rode on the ambulance and sometimes I couldn’t stand throwing up. I felt so sorry for the people who were around me and helped me. But the kind man said it’s ok brightly. His words made me relieve a little bit.

The ambulance arrived the nearest hospital and I was carried into the hospital’s Emergency Room. It was first time that I went into ER in my life! But I still wore the thing that held my head so I couldn’t look over and know what kind of room that I was in. I thought I was carried into some rooms. I took CT scan (Computed tomography scan) also. The people in the hospital called it “cat scan.” Then, nurses said that I could put off the uncomfortable thing around my neck. Only the moment did I look around me. There was Azusa. She had an anxious expression on her face. But her presence really made me relieve. And I felt so sorry for her. That day would day nice, but because of me, it was messed up. And I didn’t realize how long time past. I slipped on the skate rink around
