LAST XMAS PARTY !

On the last Saturday, we had a Xmas Party. It was my last Xmas Party because I will graduate this school next June.

We wore semiformal dresses and went to the cafeteria first. Our xmas party is always held at the cafeteria first and after that, we move to the school Rotunda. At the cafeteria, we had dinner and saw performances of 2 bands. Shizume's band played "Snow Smile" at the beginning of the party. I don't like Bump of Chicken well, but I like the song. After that, 11th grader's band played. I didn't know the song they played...

We went back to the dorm becasue cafeteria part was finished. Then we went to the school rotunda. There were lots of students already. We took many pictures. Everyone dressed up and they were beautiful. The cultual festival committee served some drinks and foods. Those were nice. I ate almost every kinds. There was a photo studio that the committee prepared. We took a picture there also. Then performances started. 11th grader's band played "Kizukarenaiyouni" that was aiko's song. I love aiko! so I liked their performance. Afte their performance, Zion, the dance club performed. They were so nice! I had a full realization that it was the last xmas party for me as I watched that.... Next, another 11th grader's band played "Meri Kuri" It was nice also. At the end of the patry, one band played "Kaede". There were 2 girls vocal. One was 11th grader and the other was 12th grader. Both of them were great singer. Their peformance was really wonderful. It was my most favorite performance ever.

I felt sad because it was last vmas party but it was soooo good so I could enjoy the party!

And I will leave US tomorrow morning! and will go back to Japan soon! I can't wait! I hope my and everyone's vacation will be great!

WINTER VACATION-!

Winter vacation will come soon! I really look forward that!

I will go back to Japan. But I'm living in Nagoya so I have to make a connection at Narita, Tokyo... so I will arrive at Nagoya around 8 pm. My family will come to the airport to meet me and we will eat Sushi. I miss Sushi!

Next day, I will have a haircut. I haven't had it for 4 months, so My hair is terrible now. I'm thinking what color and hairstyle I will try. And I will go shopping. After I will come back here, I won"t be able to buy Japanese clothes so I want to enjoy the shopping. On Saturday, I will go to Tokyo to meet my friend. I really really look forward to seeing her! I will stay in Tokyo for 3 or 4 days. I'm planning to go to TDL with my friends. I haven't been there for a long time. I can't wait!

My family will go on a trip to Hong Kong at the end of this year. It's the first time for me to go there. I heard the food and tha night view of Hong Kong are great from my frineds so I will enjoy them.

My family pays a visit to Atsuta Shrine on New Year's day every year so we'll do that next year also. We generally wake up very early and go to Atsuta Shrine, a famous shrine in Nagoya. It's hard to wake up early on New Year's day because I always stay up on New Year's Eve. But I like to go pays a visit to a shrine on New Year's day. There are lots of street stall like a festival or something. After we pay homage at the shrine, we go to another shrine which is next to Atsuta Shrine and eat something. After that, we will go back to home and eat Osechi. I love that which we order every year.

I can't feel happy lately so I'm really looking forward to going back to Japan and don't want to even imagine coming back here...

BB

Boys varsity basketball team had an away game on Dec 1. It was a first game in this season.

It was a tournament and there were 4 schools in the tournament. Keio played Solomon Schechter, a organizer of the tournament. There were lots of people who cheer on Solomon Schechter and no one cheer Keio. We were out of condition at first, but we cought up. At the and of 4th period, we were lead over Solomon Schechter. But No. 5 of Solomon Schechter shot at ring and the score became tie so the game went into ove time. I got butterflies in my stmach but I thought we would win. But we lost the game finally.

And yesterday, we had a 2nd game of the tournament. The opponent was Tuxedo. I felt frustrated at losing the 1st game, so I wanted our team to win all the more. At fist of the game, our condition wasn't good like the 1st game. But we gained on Tuxedo and we won!! I was very happy! Our captain carried off a torophy.

We will have a first home game on Dec 5, Thursday. The opponent is Tuxedo, like yesterday. We will win! so please come and cheer us up!

Thanx Giving-(*`・U・)ノ♥

Burger at Jackson Hole!

It’s Thanks Giving holiday now! Our School is closed! I’m so happy★

We don’t have school for a week so I went to Manhattan on Wednesday with Azusa. We left dorm at 7:45 am because we wanted to have a breakfast in Manhattan. We arrived Grand Central St. at 9:00 and took a subway to Bleeker St. Then we went by a cab to Clinton St. Baking Company. I think I always go there when I go to Manhattan. I love Clinton♡! The restaurant is always crowded, but it was a weekday so there wasn’t crowded. We could take a seat without waiting. I ordered brioche French toast and Azusa ordered pancake with banana and walnuts. These were soooo good as always! We ordered hash brown to share. It was good too. We had good time!

Then we went to Chelsea Market. It was the first time that I went there. I went to Fat Witch Bakery that came to fame by their brownies. They called their brownie “Witch”. I bought Fat Witch (the original brownie with a moist intense chocolate taste), Fat Witch Walnut (the original baked with walnuts), and Java Witch (original with cappuccino chocolate chips) for souvenir. And I bought Fat Witch Baby (small Fat Witch) for myself. It was delicious. Then we went to Ronnybrook Milk Bar. The casher was very friendly so I bought a bottle of milk. It was rich and good. I wish our cafeteria served Ronnybrook Milk Bar’s milk… I wanted to eat their ice cream but I was full up so I didn’t eat that. I will eat next time! Next, we went to Sarabeth’s Bakery. There was filled with a sweet smell of bread. I bought assorted jams for my mother.

After we left Chelsea Market, we took a cab to Jackson Hole. Their hamburgers are so famous that there is a restaurant named after the restaurant in Japan. The restaurant in Japan appears in my favorite comic so I knew the restaurant and I wanted to go there. I ordered New York Burger. It was an ordinary hamburger but very good! But I couldn’t eat them all because I was full with Clinton’s dishes so I wanted to go there again.

Next, we went to Karaoke Box. I hadn’t gone to Karaoke since I came back to US in this September. I got tired from just two-hour singing. I felt aging...

I got upset when we had dinner. We went to Totto, a Japanese yakitori restaurant. When I googled the restaurant as a preview, I found lots of comment that said “Their attitude to customers was terrible” “Their dishes were same class as pub in Japan”. But I guessed it wasn’t so terrible so I thought it didn’t matter. But when I called there to make a reservation, a woman said “You can’t make a reservation because we are always crowded”. Her way of speaking was disgusted me a bit. When we entered the restaurant, a manager glanced at us and seated us in a seat that was nearest to an entrance even though there were empty seats and other customers were seated in inner seats. I felt something strange. When we left the restaurant, Azusa said she felt strange also. We ordered some dishes. These were so-so. Not bad. But a waitress cleared dishes one by one as soon as we finished each. She sometimes cleared dishes that we didn’t finish without asking. Another waitress spilled water close next to me and my bag got wet, but she didn’t say anything. I thought the comments that I had seen on the Internet were true. I will never go there again (´;ω;`)!

We’re planning to eat HotPot (鍋) in Manhattan next time! I‘m looking forward to going to Manhattan soon!

Hawaii

Waikiki Beach
Matsumoto Shave Ice

I went on a trip to Hawaii with my family in this summer. I haven’t been there for a long time so I had looked forward to go there.

It took about 8 hours to arrive there but I didn’t get tired because I always get on planes for more than 13 hours when I go to Japan and come back to US. When the plane arrived Honolulu Airport, I felt
good clear air. I hate humid place like Nagoya! (By the way, in the van going to our hotel, the driver told me that Mr. Obama was coming to Hawaii to speech!) We went shopping as soon as we checked into our hotel. There were lots of shops around Waikiki Beach. I could see beautiful ocean when I did a shopping!
We went to a restaurant that was in the uppermost floor for the first day’s dinner. They served excellent dishes but when they served a dessert, a problem was happened. I could see something on the dessert. It was a little bug. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I told my family that then my brother told one waiter that. But he just glanced and said “OK!”. I thought he couldn’t understand what my brother said. He brought a new dessert for me without apologize. I couldn’t believe that! I thought a manager or someone should
apologize to me. When we checked, a man (maybe a manager) came to us and hand us a slip and said “Discount!” The slip said 10 % off. I couldn’t believe that utterly!!! I felt soooooo disgusting!!! I will never go to the restaurant again!!!
The other day, we went to North Shore. We fished shrimps. I had
never gone fishing so I thought it was ridiculous when my family said we would go fishing even though we were in Hawaii. I was unwilling to fish and I fished reluctantly at first. But actually, it was very fun. After we fish shrimps, we ate them. After that, we went to Matsumoto Shave Ice a very famous shop by its shaved ice. Lots of people was lining the sidewalk in front of the store. It was good, but I though there wasn’t any difference between the shaved ice and general shaved ice in Japan.

By the way, I saw Fujimon, a Japanese comedian, at DFS but my frined who went on a trip to Hawaii said she saw Jun Hasegawa, a half Japanese and half American model. I wanted to see her... Not Fujimon(´Д`)

Anyway I really enjoyed the trip to Hawaii! I want to go there with my friends next time!

Manhattan★ Bouley(((゚д゚)))

↑french toast ↓benecidt with smoked salmon

On Saturday, I went to Manhattan!
It's my second time going Manhattan in this year. I went there with Sakiko.

We went to Clinton Street Baking Company again! We love this restaurant. The restaurant opens at 10:00 am but we planned to arrive there at 9:30 am because the restaurant is crowded always! But we arrived there at 10:00 and we were let into there at 10:50. We always order a pancake with banana and walnut, so we tried new menus. Sakiko orderd the french toast with banana and walnut, and I orderd a benedict with smoked salmon. These were sooo good! I like the french toast so I will order that next time!

After Clinton Street Baking Company, we went to Soho. I didn't go to Soho for a long time but I like Soho. There are lots of shops so it's fun to shopping. We went to Anna Sui, Bettsy Johnson, and MAC but I didn't buy anything. I wanted to go to Shu Uemura but the store that I thought had been in Soho disappeared...

Then our friend joined us and we went to Bouley in Tribeca. It's a very famous french restaurant. It won No.1 of Zagat Rated 5 years in a row. The restaurant was very solemn so we wore formal dress. The cuisines were sooooooooo good! I wanna go there again!

I will go to Manhattan this Friday because it's parents day! I will go to Clinton Street Baking Company again and db Bistro Moderne a restaurant famouse about its foie gras burger! I'm looking forward to go-!

MY DOG★

↑ it's a irish setter but it's not my dog

I have a dog in my home in Japan. Her name is Vicky.

My Family bought her when I was 10. I wanted a small dog, like chihuahua, but my father wanted big one so we decided a irish setter. I had been looking forward to seeing since we decided to have a dog. I wanted to neme my dog "Rinse (means conditioner)" because I thought it sounded cute. But my mother and my older brother named her "Vicky". I sulked at that time but I think the name "Rinse" is foolish now. I can't understand what I thought...

She was very little and I could hold her in my arms whan she came to my home first. But now, She is very big. I think She is bigger than me when she stands up. She has long brown hair and drooping ears. I think she is a kind of elegant dog.

She is big so it's hard to take her for a walk. I didn't take her for a walk during this summer vacation but I regret that now. She is old and I think she doesn't have that much time left. I fear that she will die and it's the worst if she dies when I'm in NY... So I will take care of her well when I will see her next time.

SECTIONAL

Last Saturday, we had a soccer game of sectional. The opponent was Port Chester. We had played them twice. We won 5-1 the first time, but we lost 2-1 the second time. It was heavy rain like last year's our first game of sectional. There were lots of students cheering us up. Of course I cheered the players up with all my might. We took a 1-0 lead. But Port Chester got penalty kick in the end game and they add a goal to send the match into extra time. That was similar to the last year's game too. Finaly Ikenaga in 11th grade scored and we won!!! Every spectator bursted into the field with shouts of triumph! I was very very very very happy! I was moved to tears for joy!
Next day, managers of the soccer team presented hamburger steak and mashed potatoes to the players.

And today, we have a game of sectional! I believe we will win.

Clinton Street Baking Company's pancake

I went to Manhattan with Sakiko last Sunday! My friend was staying Manhattan so I went there to see him. I and Sakiko left school at 8:15 am and took a train to Grand Central. We talked about where we would go. We wanted to go to lots of place and restaurant so we couldn't decide in the train. We went to Clinton Street Baking Company first to have breakfast. It was a cafe and we had been there once. We arrived there at 10 but there were many people waiting. A waitress said we had to wait 1 hour to eat in the cafe or wait 20 minutes to go. We bought some muffins, scones, and pancake with banana and walnuts. It was soooooo good!!! We went to Union Square and eat them sitting on a bench. The time passed by happily. And then, we went to Max Brenner near by Union Square. It was a chocolate shop. After we bought a cup in the shop, we went to Upper East to see our friend. We went to the Cafe Boulud. The restaurant was French and it was very very very good!!! Then, we bought 6 cakes in the Lady M, a cake shop, and ate them in our friend's apartment. We had very nice time!!! I wanna go to Manhattan again soon!!!

October 15

Last Thursday was a field day. I played dodge ball and girls soccer as class K. Students were split into 4 team, team K, team E, team I, and team O and competed each other to win. In my class, there were lots of good athletes so I believed my class would win! Team K won the game of dodge ball. After dodge ball, I played in a girls soccer game. There were 2 girls who were in girls soccer club in my team but 3 people in the team were beginner. Of course I was a biginner too. We lost the first match so we played consolation match. After we lost the first match, we won all of games so we could run in the final. Before the final, we had lunch. I made some rice balls in the morning, so I ate them with my friends. After lunch, we foughr against a team of class E. There were 4 people who were members of the girls soccer club. I played as a defender. Finally, we won!!! Class K won some events so we won the field day! I was very tired but I enjoyed so much.

Oct 1

Good morning

There was an Ice Breaker that was an event to break an invisible barrier between upperclassmen and underclassmen on last Saturday. I took lot of pictures with my friends and enjoyed performances. 4 band performed in the event. First, 3 junior boys appeared then 7 boys and girls played "Okaeri (means welcome home)" I t was a very nice performance! Next, 12th grader's band performed ORANGE RANGE's song. The mood of the event warmed up. At last, a girl in 11th grade sung an English song. Her voice was very beautiful and the song was nice so I was moved. After Ice Breaker, fireworks were shot off but it was foggy so we couldn't see them. It was the last Ice Breaker for me.

I will celecrate my friend's birthday on October 4 so I'm thinking about how I can surprise and delight her. I want to make the day special!!! And we will have a soccer home game on the day. I want to win!! She is a manager of the soccer team like me so I believe it will be a present to win the geme!!

september 17

I wrote about the story that I got BVS but Mr. Nakazawa said my BVS was withdrawn because the rule was too strict!!! I'm very happy★+゜

September 13 was my friend, Kuniko's birthday. We went to her room exactly at 00:00 but she was asleep. We sang a birthday song to wake her up then we gave her birthday presents. She was very surprised and delighted. Next day, we bought a chocolate cake for her. We called her away without telling detail because we wanted her to be surprised. When she came into North Office, we sang a birthday song like yesterday and showed her the cake. We took pictures and ate all of the cake within 5 minutes. I think her birthday was grate and I hope this year will be wonderful for her!!!

Last Sunday, I went to Cheesecake Factory with my friend, Azusa. We orderd the Vietnamese Summer Roll, the Chineese Chicken Salad, and the Pasta Carbonalla. These were very good. And Kuniko, Miho, Sawako, Misumi, and Hanako who were our friends sat down next seat to us. They celebrated Kuniko's birthday so they orderd the whole cheeseake. They gave us the rest of the cake because they couldn't all. We were so happy to eat cake!!! I love Cheesecake Factory!!!
