Last Saturday, we had a soccer game of sectional. The opponent was Port Chester. We had played them twice. We won 5-1 the first time, but we lost 2-1 the second time. It was heavy rain like last year's our first game of sectional. There were lots of students cheering us up. Of course I cheered the players up with all my might. We took a 1-0 lead. But Port Chester got penalty kick in the end game and they add a goal to send the match into extra time. That was similar to the last year's game too. Finaly Ikenaga in 11th grade scored and we won!!! Every spectator bursted into the field with shouts of triumph! I was very very very very happy! I was moved to tears for joy!
Next day, managers of the soccer team presented hamburger steak and mashed potatoes to the players.
And today, we have a game of sectional! I believe we will win.

Clinton Street Baking Company's pancake
I went to Manhattan with Sakiko last Sunday! My friend was staying Manhattan so I went there to see him. I and Sakiko left school at 8:15 am and took a train to Grand Central. We talked about where we would go. We wanted to go to lots of place and restaurant so we couldn't decide in the train. We went to Clinton Street Baking Company first to have breakfast. It was a cafe and we had been there once. We arrived there at 10 but there were many people waiting. A waitress said we had to wait 1 hour to eat in the cafe or wait 20 minutes to go. We bought some muffins, scones, and pancake with banana and walnuts. It was soooooo good!!! We went to Union Square and eat them sitting on a bench. The time passed by happily. And then, we went to Max Brenner near by Union Square. It was a chocolate shop. After we bought a cup in the shop, we went to Upper East to see our friend. We went to the Cafe Boulud. The restaurant was French and it was very very very good!!! Then, we bought 6 cakes in the Lady M, a cake shop, and ate them in our friend's apartment. We had very nice time!!! I wanna go to Manhattan again soon!!!

Last Thursday was a field day. I played dodge ball and girls soccer as class K. Students were split into 4 team, team K, team E, team I, and team O and competed each other to win. In my class, there were lots of good athletes so I believed my class would win! Team K won the game of dodge ball. After dodge ball, I played in a girls soccer game. There were 2 girls who were in girls soccer club in my team but 3 people in the team were beginner. Of course I was a biginner too. We lost the first match so we played consolation match. After we lost the first match, we won all of games so we could run in the final. Before the final, we had lunch. I made some rice balls in the morning, so I ate them with my friends. After lunch, we foughr against a team of class E. There were 4 people who were members of the girls soccer club. I played as a defender. Finally, we won!!! Class K won some events so we won the field day! I was very tired but I enjoyed so much.

Good morning
There was an Ice Breaker that was an event to break an invisible barrier between upperclassmen and underclassmen on last Saturday. I took lot of pictures with my friends and enjoyed performances. 4 band performed in the event. First, 3 junior boys appeared then 7 boys and girls played "Okaeri (means welcome home)" I t was a very nice performance! Next, 12th grader's band performed ORANGE RANGE's song. The mood of the event warmed up. At last, a girl in 11th grade sung an English song. Her voice was very beautiful and the song was nice so I was moved. After Ice Breaker, fireworks were shot off but it was foggy so we couldn't see them. It was the last Ice Breaker for me.
I will celecrate my friend's birthday on October 4 so I'm thinking about how I can surprise and delight her. I want to make the day special!!! And we will have a soccer home game on the day. I want to win!! She is a manager of the soccer team like me so I believe it will be a present to win the geme!!
