Thanx Giving-(*`・U・)ノ♥

Burger at Jackson Hole!

It’s Thanks Giving holiday now! Our School is closed! I’m so happy★

We don’t have school for a week so I went to Manhattan on Wednesday with Azusa. We left dorm at 7:45 am because we wanted to have a breakfast in Manhattan. We arrived Grand Central St. at 9:00 and took a subway to Bleeker St. Then we went by a cab to Clinton St. Baking Company. I think I always go there when I go to Manhattan. I love Clinton♡! The restaurant is always crowded, but it was a weekday so there wasn’t crowded. We could take a seat without waiting. I ordered brioche French toast and Azusa ordered pancake with banana and walnuts. These were soooo good as always! We ordered hash brown to share. It was good too. We had good time!

Then we went to Chelsea Market. It was the first time that I went there. I went to Fat Witch Bakery that came to fame by their brownies. They called their brownie “Witch”. I bought Fat Witch (the original brownie with a moist intense chocolate taste), Fat Witch Walnut (the original baked with walnuts), and Java Witch (original with cappuccino chocolate chips) for souvenir. And I bought Fat Witch Baby (small Fat Witch) for myself. It was delicious. Then we went to Ronnybrook Milk Bar. The casher was very friendly so I bought a bottle of milk. It was rich and good. I wish our cafeteria served Ronnybrook Milk Bar’s milk… I wanted to eat their ice cream but I was full up so I didn’t eat that. I will eat next time! Next, we went to Sarabeth’s Bakery. There was filled with a sweet smell of bread. I bought assorted jams for my mother.

After we left Chelsea Market, we took a cab to Jackson Hole. Their hamburgers are so famous that there is a restaurant named after the restaurant in Japan. The restaurant in Japan appears in my favorite comic so I knew the restaurant and I wanted to go there. I ordered New York Burger. It was an ordinary hamburger but very good! But I couldn’t eat them all because I was full with Clinton’s dishes so I wanted to go there again.

Next, we went to Karaoke Box. I hadn’t gone to Karaoke since I came back to US in this September. I got tired from just two-hour singing. I felt aging...

I got upset when we had dinner. We went to Totto, a Japanese yakitori restaurant. When I googled the restaurant as a preview, I found lots of comment that said “Their attitude to customers was terrible” “Their dishes were same class as pub in Japan”. But I guessed it wasn’t so terrible so I thought it didn’t matter. But when I called there to make a reservation, a woman said “You can’t make a reservation because we are always crowded”. Her way of speaking was disgusted me a bit. When we entered the restaurant, a manager glanced at us and seated us in a seat that was nearest to an entrance even though there were empty seats and other customers were seated in inner seats. I felt something strange. When we left the restaurant, Azusa said she felt strange also. We ordered some dishes. These were so-so. Not bad. But a waitress cleared dishes one by one as soon as we finished each. She sometimes cleared dishes that we didn’t finish without asking. Another waitress spilled water close next to me and my bag got wet, but she didn’t say anything. I thought the comments that I had seen on the Internet were true. I will never go there again (´;ω;`)!

We’re planning to eat HotPot (鍋) in Manhattan next time! I‘m looking forward to going to Manhattan soon!

Hawaii

Waikiki Beach
Matsumoto Shave Ice

I went on a trip to Hawaii with my family in this summer. I haven’t been there for a long time so I had looked forward to go there.

It took about 8 hours to arrive there but I didn’t get tired because I always get on planes for more than 13 hours when I go to Japan and come back to US. When the plane arrived Honolulu Airport, I felt
good clear air. I hate humid place like Nagoya! (By the way, in the van going to our hotel, the driver told me that Mr. Obama was coming to Hawaii to speech!) We went shopping as soon as we checked into our hotel. There were lots of shops around Waikiki Beach. I could see beautiful ocean when I did a shopping!
We went to a restaurant that was in the uppermost floor for the first day’s dinner. They served excellent dishes but when they served a dessert, a problem was happened. I could see something on the dessert. It was a little bug. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I told my family that then my brother told one waiter that. But he just glanced and said “OK!”. I thought he couldn’t understand what my brother said. He brought a new dessert for me without apologize. I couldn’t believe that! I thought a manager or someone should
apologize to me. When we checked, a man (maybe a manager) came to us and hand us a slip and said “Discount!” The slip said 10 % off. I couldn’t believe that utterly!!! I felt soooooo disgusting!!! I will never go to the restaurant again!!!
The other day, we went to North Shore. We fished shrimps. I had
never gone fishing so I thought it was ridiculous when my family said we would go fishing even though we were in Hawaii. I was unwilling to fish and I fished reluctantly at first. But actually, it was very fun. After we fish shrimps, we ate them. After that, we went to Matsumoto Shave Ice a very famous shop by its shaved ice. Lots of people was lining the sidewalk in front of the store. It was good, but I though there wasn’t any difference between the shaved ice and general shaved ice in Japan.

By the way, I saw Fujimon, a Japanese comedian, at DFS but my frined who went on a trip to Hawaii said she saw Jun Hasegawa, a half Japanese and half American model. I wanted to see her... Not Fujimon(´Д`)

Anyway I really enjoyed the trip to Hawaii! I want to go there with my friends next time!

Manhattan★ Bouley(((゚д゚)))

↑french toast ↓benecidt with smoked salmon

On Saturday, I went to Manhattan!
It's my second time going Manhattan in this year. I went there with Sakiko.

We went to Clinton Street Baking Company again! We love this restaurant. The restaurant opens at 10:00 am but we planned to arrive there at 9:30 am because the restaurant is crowded always! But we arrived there at 10:00 and we were let into there at 10:50. We always order a pancake with banana and walnut, so we tried new menus. Sakiko orderd the french toast with banana and walnut, and I orderd a benedict with smoked salmon. These were sooo good! I like the french toast so I will order that next time!

After Clinton Street Baking Company, we went to Soho. I didn't go to Soho for a long time but I like Soho. There are lots of shops so it's fun to shopping. We went to Anna Sui, Bettsy Johnson, and MAC but I didn't buy anything. I wanted to go to Shu Uemura but the store that I thought had been in Soho disappeared...

Then our friend joined us and we went to Bouley in Tribeca. It's a very famous french restaurant. It won No.1 of Zagat Rated 5 years in a row. The restaurant was very solemn so we wore formal dress. The cuisines were sooooooooo good! I wanna go there again!

I will go to Manhattan this Friday because it's parents day! I will go to Clinton Street Baking Company again and db Bistro Moderne a restaurant famouse about its foie gras burger! I'm looking forward to go-!

MY DOG★

↑ it's a irish setter but it's not my dog

I have a dog in my home in Japan. Her name is Vicky.

My Family bought her when I was 10. I wanted a small dog, like chihuahua, but my father wanted big one so we decided a irish setter. I had been looking forward to seeing since we decided to have a dog. I wanted to neme my dog "Rinse (means conditioner)" because I thought it sounded cute. But my mother and my older brother named her "Vicky". I sulked at that time but I think the name "Rinse" is foolish now. I can't understand what I thought...

She was very little and I could hold her in my arms whan she came to my home first. But now, She is very big. I think She is bigger than me when she stands up. She has long brown hair and drooping ears. I think she is a kind of elegant dog.

She is big so it's hard to take her for a walk. I didn't take her for a walk during this summer vacation but I regret that now. She is old and I think she doesn't have that much time left. I fear that she will die and it's the worst if she dies when I'm in NY... So I will take care of her well when I will see her next time.
